So I NEVER Use This But....

I was recently directed to a "Plog" http://elisheahen.blogspot.com/ (someone we have been praying for) and it so happens that it was one of these google blogs and I was able to leave a comment (and prompted to use this blog name as signature) and I remembered about this site of mine!!! Ha! I mostly blog on Pleonast (mom247365) and have recently tried out Facebook. Don't get me wrong. I rarely have time for this stuff (aka MOM 24-7-365), but it is fun when I have the time. Have a great life and perhaps I will REALLY update this sometime.

One more game

November 1st will be the last football game for Pete. Dan and Ron finished their season last saturday.

Mike ended up with another bout of MRSA starting last week. This time though it is not as bad, nevertheless it is bad to keep getting it. I didn't go to Moscow because he responded so well to the antibiotics. He is already working out again.

I started a new job. Medical transcription. I do it at home a couple of hours a day.

Next week I start my training for H & R Block, except I will be doing some (if not all) of the teaching.

That's all for now.

Blog Blog Blog

Hello Family. I don't know if y'all like visiting this site. I am hoping that is will be a good way to keep in touch. Do you have to create your own account to comment? I am still learning this site. I have another blog that I comment on everyday. It is called Pleonast. So many people are blogging and posting pictures and keeping in touch these days via the internet, so here's hoping we can keep in touch to. I tried MySpace but can not stand the ads. My Pleonast blog is my favorite so far. I will add a link for you to visit there too.

MIKEY UPDATE- He seems a little better this morning. We are going to go to church in a few minutes. He does NOT seem to be getting worse, that is good news. He is hobbling around now with out the crutches, but will definately drive the electric carts at the store if he gets a chance!!!
The Doctors and/or med. staff keeps in touch with him daily and I'm hoping and praying that all will be so good tomorrow that I will go home (Monday or Tuesday).

Take care and you can visit my other blog if you like. At some point I will narrow it down to ONE. http://www.pleonast.com/user/mom247365
I'm pretty sure you can read stuff and look around there without signing up. You have to create an account to post.

Have a great week.

A Quick Trip To Moscow

ON Monday Mike called and said he has MRSA. On Wednesday at 5:15 Mikey let us know that he has some "surgical" procedures. It was pretty bad, several absesses and very painful. I drove up Wednesday night, I left about 6:15p . iT took me 6-1/4 hours to get here.

He is using crutches to get around and is seeing the trainer everyday and has access to the doctor right at the university. There are quite a few web sights about MRSA if you are curious. It is a staph infection, a "superbug" that is resistant to antibiotics. It is a royal pain to deal with.

I have been cooking, cleaning, providing taxi service and keeping him company. He has missed a lot of school this week and needs to do a lot of homework. I am going to help him with that tomorrow.

We found out tonight that the cultures they took on Wednesday were not responsive to the meds in the LAB so after 5 days of one antibiotic he is going to another one.

Anyhow, all prayers are appreciated.

Rochelle and Zac are here for the weekend!

I picked them up at the airport on Thursday. We made a pit stop at the house to unload and then went down to CHS. Pete's team played Grant. The game ended with the score at 56-6 with Canby up. Pete scored the third touchdown of the game. He almost grabbed a pick, it was one of those that you really want back. It was just like a tip drill--bounced off reciever, defender and then Pete got his hands on it. He dropped to the ground and rolled and it just didn't stay in his hands.

Friday, Ron took the day off and we (Ron, Rochelle, Zac and I) went shopping, bowling, played pool and enjoyed STARBUCKS!!! Some of us went to the CHS vs. Grant football game (Canby won) and some of us did not!

Saturday, we went to Danny and Ron's football game. They lost. Ugh. Danny is pretty beat up. Karna and the kids came to the game too (Mike is hunting in eastern Oregon). We are expecting them tonight for dinner and to spend the night with Grandma Bon-Bon (across the driveway).

Tomorrow the family is meeting in Beaverton to go to church (Aunt Kari- my sister too). We have some friends coming for Sunday Dinner and then Rochelle and Zac will be off to the airport. It has been fun and action packed.

Oh yeah, we have played a couple of games of Pinochle too. We all know how to play.

Pete is playing freshman football. They are 3-0, a very talented group of young athletes. Danny is playing 7th grade football. Ron is the coach. The team is actually composed of 7th & 8th graders and is considered a "JV" Team. So next year Danny will play "Varsity". So we pretty much eat, sleep, dream, football around here. You know how it is when "dad" is coach. You go early and then are the last to leave the field! Team Carpenter ~ JV Blue is 0-3 (eeeek). Ron hates to lose. We have a pretty rugged schedule and a team that is lacking talent in a few categories. Nevertheless, they will learn a lot this year and hopefully win a bunch of the remaining games (Ron is ever the optimist)!!!!
